It is with great pleasure to announce that our every-two year Indonesian Scientific Otology Meeting (PITO XIII) will be held in conjunction with Otorhinolaryngology International Academic Conference (ORLIAC XII) on 25th – 27th October 2023 in Bali. This event will be held in collaboration with Perhati-BKL (Indonesian ORL-HNS Society) and The Otorhinolaryngology Department of Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Bali. ORLIAC and PITO XII will reveal many recent exciting developments not only in the field of otology but the abundant issues in the field of otorhinolaryngology from basic research to clinical experience as we choose it for our theme.
The scientific program will consist of special lectures, plenaries, symposia, workshops and instructional courses which will be delivered by national and international speakers; also free paper and poster competition for residents. The temporal bone dissection as pre-congress workshop will take place at Udayana University Hospital on 23rd – 24th October 2023. Accordingly, the ASEAN Skull Base Society will conduct the Skull Base Course in Manila on 9th – 10th October 2023 as a pre-event and the Temporal Bone Dissection Course in Bangkok will be held as a post-event of ORLIAC on 30th October – 3th November 2023
The spirit of East meets West in ORLIAC, initiated by Prof. Jan Veldman, has enormously expanded, as shown by the exponential increase in the number of experts attending the event from within and outside the country. The intermingling of East and West countries will undoubtedly open up broader horizons of knowledge and increase the capabilities of research and clinical applications.
We believe that this meeting will give us an opportunity to exchange knowledge and skill, collaborate good research and make new global relationship.
And who can resist Bali? The paradise on Earth with its stunning beaches, glorious mountains, magical temples, and virtually every kind of natural beauty and fascinating culture would be an added value for all the participants visiting this event. It will be a good mixture of learning and relaxing.
We welcome you all..
